Actively Managed Certificates

We support you with the securitisation and scaling of your investment strategy.

What are AMCs?

Actively Managed Certificates (AMCs) are structured investment products with an active asset-management mandate. They give investors access to various asset classes: equities, bonds, commodities, real estate, and cryptocurrencies. The wealth manager selects and reweights the assets according to predefined rules.

AMCs are issued by banks, securities firms, and special-purpose vehicles (SPVs) as their own bonds, on-balance-sheet or off-balance-sheet. With an assigned ISIN they become transferable securities that can be held in custody accounts. AMCs are exchange-traded or privately placed, providing flexibility in investment approach and market access.

The benefits of AMCs

Diversification

Because they package an investment strategy into a single instrument, AMCs offer an additional way to diversify a client's portfolio.

Scalability

Clients don't need to onboard with a new bank, they can instruct their existing bank to purchase the certificate.

Operational efficiency

Execute transactions within a single model portfolio instead of across many discretionary mandates.

Building a track record

Performance recording begins with the issuance of the AMC. This documented track record reinforces the verifiability of the investment strategy.

Low issuer risk

Depending on the type of issuance and the issuer's domicile, several options exist to minimise issuer risk, including collateralisation by the underlying assets or full segregation of the assets.

Our issuer network

Our issuer network includes established issuers. We securitise investment strategies for different investor segments and advisory setups.
