Fintech and Family Office in One: Democratisation of Private Banking
Everon combines a digital wealth management app with the investment experience of the Swiss 5 Group, a multi-family office with roots going back to 2003, bringing strategies once reserved for institutional clients to a broader audience.
This article dates from February 2022 and describes the situation at that time. Everon has been authorised as a wealth manager under FinIA since 17 March 2023 and is today an independent Multi-Family Office; as a multi-family office, the Swiss 5 Group is an important partner for our portfolio management.
Everon draws on 35 years of investment experience. This is possible thanks to the cooperation with the multi-family office “Swiss 5 Group”. This gives Everon clients two things at once: private banking including digital asset management via the app and customised investment strategies that are otherwise reserved for professional and institutional investors. Until today, there was little overlap between utilising a wealth management application and receiving guidance from a family office. While apps rely on automation and standard processes to keep costs as low as possible, the family office focuses on personal, tailored support. Accordingly, the services and investment strategies of a family office have so far only been available to a very small and exclusive group of clients.
Democratisation of private banking
We are now bringing these two approaches together as we democratise private banking. At Everon innovation meets tradition. Our customers can manage their assets completely independently via the app. At the same time, they have access to the investment strategies that we have developed together with the Multi Family Office. Further services, which in our view still include personal support, can also be used if required. This service is usually only available to family office customers.
35 years of investment experience
Our investment philosophy has been in place for 35 years and is continuously developed. The strategic and tactical asset allocation is defined regularly and jointly. We also coordinate with the family office on the individual strategies within the respective asset classes. In addition to traditional asset classes such as bonds, equities, real estate, and commodities, Everon clients can also invest in private markets. Investments of this kind are not traded on an exchange and the capital is committed for a fixed term. We can also respond quickly and without red tape to individual customer needs in all other asset classes: Thanks to our “Portfolio Management Engine” we are very flexible. Developed in-house, it generates, based on the wishes and requirements of the client and the parameters of the investment committee, individualised proposals for individual investments and entire portfolio structures.
A ranked strategy for a target group that banks will serve less and less closely in future
The jointly developed investment strategy is reflected in the asset manager ranking of firstfive. In the ranking of December 2021, the strategy took first place over twelve months in the conservative risk class.
